Dr William Trinh, OAM
Dr. William Trinh is a qualified therapeutics optometrist. He established Will’s Eyecare in 1989 after graduating with a Bachelor of Optometry from the University of New South Wales. With a special interest in glaucoma, myopia control and orthokeratolgy, he pursued further study at the New England College of Optometry (Boston, USA) where he completed his Doctorate of Optometry in addition to completing UNSW’s Ocular Therapeutics Diploma.
At Will’s Eyecare, Dr Trinh provides comprehensive eye exam, prescribes spectacles, contact lenses, eye exercises for visual needs and medications for eye diseases. For his excellence in clinical practice and optometric teaching, the Optometrists Association of Australia (NSW) awarded Dr Trinh the prestigious Josef Lederer Award for Excellence in Optometry.
Concurrently, Dr Trinh has a passion for humanitarian service to help those in need; he has been involved with non-for-profit medical missions in Vietnam and Cambodia since 2004 with Australian Health Humanitarian Aid. A testament of his service to both the domestic and international community was his recipiency of both Rotary International’s Paul Harris Fellowship and Gold Companionship. In 2020, Dr Trinh was awarded the Order of Australia for his longstanding contributions to international humanitarian service and the field of optometry.
Dr Nancy Liu
Dr Nancy Liu is a qualified therapeutics optometrist. She graduated from University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Clinical Optometry. Dr Liu practises general optometry, and has a special interest in myopia control and ocular disease management.
Dr Liu is passionate about quality of patient care and was awarded the UNSW Specsavers Prize for Patient Management. She was fortunate to be awarded the OneSight Scholarship, which provided her the opportunity to give much needed eyecare to those in low socio-economic communities in rural Australia.
Dr Liu sits on the Early Career Optometrist NSW/ACT (ECONA) committee that represents the interests of optometrists at the beginning of their career. She also co-chairs the ECONA Scope of Practice committee.
Dr Crystal Nguyen-Dang
Dr Crystal Nguyen-Dang is a qualified therapeutics optometrist. She graduated from University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Clinical Optometry. Dr Nguyen-Dang practises general optometry, with special interests in myopia control and ocular disease management.
Dr Nguyen-Dang is dedicated toward patient care and management of ocular diseases. She was awarded the UNSW Luxottica Prize for Clinical Ocular Therapeutics.
Dr Nguyen-Dang is a member of the Young Optometrists (YO) committee that represents and supports young optometrists early in their career.
